Director of East/West District Camps, Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church and Program Coordinator for U.M. ARMY (United Methodist Action Reach out Mission by Youth) Texas Conference. With more than 21 years in professional youth work Karen’s passion is communicating to adults and young people, practical truths to help them live out their Christian lives. Karen develops interactive curriculum, events and camps to help students, parents, adults and youth workers learn in new ways, develop their faith, and serve in missions at all levels. Karen has planned, executed and directed numerous camps for youth, college age adults and women’s groups, since 1990. In addition to camp and youth ministry, Karen teaches Women’s and College Bible Studies and Grief and Divorce Recovery classes/workshops. She speaks regularly at camps, mission camps, leadership conferences, and retreats. Karen is the parent of a n adolescent with type 1 diabetes.
