Nelda is a certified diabetes educator with the Texas A&M University Coastal Bend Health Education Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. She has presented internationally on insulin pump therapy and children and has extensive knowledge of educational needs of families dealing with type 1 diabetes. She has conducted several grandparent workshops before and is fluent in Spanish.
