Are you ready for the experience of a lifetime? What do you think about the opportunity to help others and make a positive difference in another's life, not to mention your own?

Mission Statement

The purpose shall be to provide, without charge, a camp for physically disabled, hearing/vision impaired and diabetic children from the state of Texas, regardless of race, religion, or national origin.

Our goal is to create an atmosphere wherein campers will learn the "can do" philosophy and be allowed to achieve maximum personal growth and self-esteem.

Should I Apply?

  • Do you agree with the mission statement, and do you have a desire to work towards it?
  • Do you meet the enclosed stated qualification standards for employment at TLC?
  • Are you able to arrive and remain at Camp for the respective training and session dates of your agreement?
  • According to camp policy, tobacco use, including but not limited to smoking, dipping or chewing, is prohibited until after 10:00pm in designated smoking areas only. Can you comply with the camp’s restricted tobacco policy?

How Do I Apply?

Download the application packet at right, fill-out and return to the Camp office as soon as complete. A step-by-step instruction guide is listed below to assist you with any questions. (Note: downloads below are contained in the application packet at right - there is no need to download both places.)

    • Download and complete the seasonal staff employment Application, and return to the Camp Office.
       
  3. References

    • Personal references-request self addressed cards from the Camp Office or download here. Request that three non-family members complete the reference form for you and return directly to the Camp office.
       
  4. Criminal History

    • Download and sign Consent form (return to the Camp Office with finger prints)
    • Get fingerprints taken at law enforcement agency and return to Camp Office with consent form.
    • Download and complete the personal data form for criminal history. Return to the Camp Office when complete.
       
  5. Driver's Report

    • Download and complete request for Driver's report.
    • Mail completed form and $7.00 to the Texas Department of Public Safety (address can be found on the form). If you have an out of state license, you must contact your local DPS and request your report using their forms. Do not submit the Texas form to your local DPS if you are a resident of another state.
       
  6. Certifications

    • Send copies of current CPR/First Aid Cards to the Camp Administrative Office, or request to be added to the list for taking the course here at Camp.
