Like most Boards of Directors, the Texas Lions Camp has a
committee structure that has been developed in order to help
the Board accomplish its work. TLC has 13 Committees, which
any Lion in good standing may join, in order to further the
mission and goals of the Texas Lions Camp. By-Laws Committee. The By-Laws Committee shall make a thorough study of the By-Laws to ascertain the need for amendment thereof and report the same to the Board of Directors for its action thereon.Camp Improvements Committee. The Camp Improvements Committee shall investigate the condition of all improvements, equipment, and supplies at the Camp, and shall report to the Board of Directors at each meeting thereof as to the condition and needs with respect thereto.Camper Intake Committee. The Camper Intake Committee shall continue to study the League policies and procedures relating to the admission of campers, and from time to time make recommendations to the Board of Directors pertaining thereto.Camp Program Committee. The Camp Program Committee, with the assistance of the Program Director, shall approve and provide for each phase and course of the Camp program of activities, and provide suitable awards for children attending Camp.Planned Giving and Endowment Committee. The Planned Giving and Endowment Committee shall study ways and means of securing funds for the League by means of pledge commitments, special gifts, intervivos and testamentary gifts and bequests, and shall make recommendations to the Board of Directors pertaining thereto.Finance Committee. The Finance Committee shall study and advise the Board of Directors regarding the financial requirements of the League necessary to carry out its fiscal and long range programs, prepare and submit to the Board a budget in conformity with such needs, and advise the Board on ways and means of raising sufficient funds to meet such budget requirements.Membership Development Committee. The Membership Development Committee shall study ways and means of obtaining Active, Sponsor, Life, and 100% Participating Club memberships in the League, shall encourage the use of League Memorial contributions and promote Lions Clubs of Texas Multiple District 2 to sponsor annual events for the benefit of the League, and shall make recommendations to the Board of Directors pertaining thereto.Nominations Committee. Not less than thirty (30) days prior to each Annual meeting of the Board of Directors, the President shall appoint a Nominations Committee consisting of one (1) member of the Board from each Sub-District of Texas Multiple District 2 of Lions International, to make nominations for officers for presentation to the Annual meeting of the Board. Nominations may also be made at such meeting from the floor.Public Relations Committee. The Public Relations Committee shall study ways and means of disseminating news releases and other publicity pertaining to the activities of the League, and shall make recommendations to the Board of Directors pertaining thereto.Funds, Security and Investment Committee. The Funds, Security and Investment Committee shall examine all depositories of funds, all insurance and all fidelity bonds executed by officers and employees of the League, and shall make appropriate recommendations regarding the same to the Board of Directors.Historical Committee. The Historical Committee shall assimilate, condense, record in narrative form, and keep current a year to year history of the League.Diabetic Camp Committee. The Diabetic Camp Committee shall study the operation of the Diabetic Camp Program and report to the Board of Directors with respect thereto at each meeting, and shall make such recommendations as the Committee may deem advisable for the improvement of such program.
