TLC2U - On its Way!


Kerrville, TX - June 29, 2020. The staff have made their lists and checked TLC2Uit twice, none were naughty and all were nice. TLC2U is on its way with programs set to open July 5, 2020 and by now, children have received their boxes or soon will. For more information about the schedule, click here.

For the first time in TLC's history, we will have the opportunity to meet as an all-camp, TLC family and participate no matter the session assigned. Families, Lions, staff from around the world and volunteers will also be able to join in the fun as we kick off programs for the summer season.

I want to take a moment to thank the staff of TLC for their very hard work on this project. Their dedication, ingenuity, flexibility, creativity and "Can Do" attitude have been an inspiration to watch. TLC2U has been a collaborative effort between the Marketing and Program Departments, and I would be remiss if I did not also give a shoutout to our two VP's Trish Wilson and Karen-Anne King for leading in this effort.

There have been a number of sponsors who have given both time and financial support for this new program and I could not be more grateful for their continued support of TLC's outreach and programs for the kiddos of TLC. Stephen is President and CEO of Texas Lions Camp, Inc. and recently celebrated 30 years of service to this 70 year-old, 501(c)(3) charitable, organization in August of 2019. TLC, Inc. has a large Board of Directors consisting of 94 voting members and over 300 volunteer members that serve on one of 10 standing committees. As a corporation, TLC has more than 200 full-time and seasonal employees (who are organized into 7 departments) and over 2,000 volunteers per year that are responsible for creating an atmosphere of success for more than 1,500 children with physical disabilities per summer. Stephen is a Certified Association Executive with the American Society of Association Executives, a past Certified Fund-Raising Executive with the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Stephen is a father of three and resides on TLC’s Kerrville campus together with his wife Shawn, who as luck would have it, is a professional editor.
